Education: 10:30-12:00
Chad Clyburn, from the Vermont Dept. of Environmental Conservation presented & provided information for tracking & reporting for Haz-Mat disposal, recycling cost & mercury reduction. An Excel spreadsheet that was presented as a model for reporting will be provided to VHES members via E-Mail when we receive it from Chad.
Chad stated that Vt. will provide reporting assistance to any Vermont Hospital.
Compliance & targeted EPA inspections for Hospitals & SPCC plans were discussed.
The issues & questions of compliance, pharmaceutical waste, chemo drugs, EPA inspection & mercury reduction were addressed. (details are on the web site & literature provided)
