Vermont Healthcare Engineering Society Annual Meeting Minutes September 7, 2007

1. Election of Officers: Mark Blanchard reelected President, Brian Sallisky reelected VP, Dan Petherbridge elected Secretary/Treasurer.
The group thanked Andy Hall for his years as being the Sec/Tres.

2. 2007-2008 Meeting Topics: After much discussion led by Mark the group tentatively decided on the following topics and locations.
a. November – Efficiency VT/CVPS at SWMC
b. January – VOSHA/ICRA – CVMC (Gifford as back-up)
c. March – Emergency Preparedness – NVRH St. J (VA as back-up)
d. May – Elevators and NFPA 99 – Rutland Regional
e. July – Green Building/LEED – FAHC (NMC as back-up)
f. Sep – Annual meeting

Other possible topics included: Decon, NFPA 101, recycling, hazardous waste. We also discussed the idea of focusing our topics on the five sections of CHFM.

3. Website Update: Disappointment in the responsiveness of the current webmaster was expressed. Mark is looking for a new one.
He has also held back payment due to the poor service. Members should ask for sponsors of the website. The form can be printed off the website.

4. NEHES Fall Conference – It is scheduled for 9/30-10/3 in Maine. VHES is applying to get the NEHES Excellence award.

5. NEHES Spring Conference - This will be held as usual at the Four Points Sheraton in Leominster, MA. VHES is the host chapter that will
be running the conference. Ray Forsell was elected as Education Director.

6. Lunch – Mark provided a great lunch for us all on the deck of his camp overlooking the river on a gorgeous day.

7. Adjournment – The meeting adjourned at 11:07.
